Provide a way for a CVE to move an examinee to a future session, PIN and all.
We have examinees who fail to complete an exam, for reasons entirely out of their control, like their Internet fails, or their neighbor sucks all the bits out of their cable connection, or their computer fails... or a VE makes a mistake. We'd love to just move those folks to another session, but all we can offer them is to try, against all odds, to compete for registration in a future session.

Todd N7TMSI had this case today. The power authority in California decided to cut the power near one of my candidates which prevented him from any internet access. He missed the exam session. The process of getting him into a future session is like playing the lottery. It would be a lot better/convenient/professional to say, "Sure, let me just move your registration to next Tuesday."

Norm Goodkin K6YXH GLAARG VEMaybe require a PIN and email address to authenticate? So, it isn't just the PIN, but the combination of the two. Then you could more the combination to another session and the combination would be unique (you wouldn't run our of PINs).

Chris FlinnWith the ability to setup unpublished sessions wouldnt this be kinda not necessary? You can setup hidden sessions that only people with the link have access to and limit the session to however many people you want to test and have them sign up.

n2ygkI needed this feature due to the bug where more than the configured maximum number of applicants can register. So I manually cut-n-pasted his registration information into my next available unlisted session and sent him an email.
I don't really care if the PIN stays the same; maybe it's better that it doesn't to make it clear it belongs to a different session. -

Nick AA0NMI've had this in several of our sessions recently as we are running 5-7 sessions back to back 90 minutes apart on a test day with the applicant number limited based on the policies of the location. This would be very useful.

Heather KM6ZQBWould like to move applicant who was not able to test to another session within same VEC and not just same session manager. Session manager may need to “accept” applicant into new session and send confirmation of registration to applicant. Part 2 of this could be to move an applicant who passed or failed in same way and schedule upgrade or retest before applicant leaves Zoom.

Heather ParkerSince my last post, I have spend quite a bit of time moving applicants to other sessions. I usually ask them to register in the new session instead of doing it manually through the add patron option. I could have used it tonight to move someone from a remote session to an in-person session and print their 605 and send it to them. They could print and bring it to the session. The 605 from the remote used that date and also was pre-marked with NO NEW LICENSE OR UPGRADE WAS EARNED :( I know it was intended for the use that I wanted, but I did think if I could move the applicant to the correct session that I would be able to print a usable 605. Maybe not.

n4fwdHad an applicant who notified me by email that they had to work during a session which they had signed up for. I moved that applicant to the next available session and emailed a reply to their email. It would be nice to have a copy / paste functionality. In the session - applicant manage menu, a "copy" function to get all of the pertinent data. Then in the new session in the "add applicant" menu, a paste button to plug-in the data. Once completed, the applicant could be deleted from the original session.

Richard Bateman AdminThe first version of this feature has been released to https://alpha.exam.tools -- we'll be iterating on it a bit, but feedback is appreciated.
I had forgotten about the idea of rescheduling after a failed exam; currently it only allows them to be moved wholesale, not copied to a new session. I'll have to think on how that would work. -

Richard Bateman AdminThis is available in Beta now.
If someone wants to make a new feature for "copying to a new session for re-take" we can look at that as a separate feature, since it has different considerations and implications.
