Notify if candidate submits "Restricted Use" FRN during registration.
If FRN starts with "213", it's a "restricted use" FRN and can not be used for an Amateur Radio application. "Restricted use" FRNs only require the applicant to submit the last 4 of their SSN.
Suggest that during registration on ExamTools, if FRN start with "213", notify applicant that their FRN is restricted and to obtain a normal FRN.

Richard Bateman AdminI can certainly add this, but I don't think it's going to add a huge amount of value. I'll toss it in when I'm next working on an appropriate part of the app, but it seems to me that this won't help enough to justify spending more than a few minutes on it.

Aaron MorrisonJust got bit with this one tonight. For Laurel VEC, the SessionManager application will not allow the session to be completed for upload with any applicants without a "valid" FRN. Fortunately, the applicant had not left the premises and we were able to get a "real" FRN.
Perhaps adding a warning to the applicant list (like the address mismatch or answered BQQ positively) so the VE's could notify/assist in fixing the issue. -

Richard Bateman AdminSince the FCC is concerned enough about this to send an email I'll prioritize it and get it in ASAP; seems odd, since it's affected 17 total applicants (pass or fail) in 2023 so far, but I guess it's a pain to fix or something.
